ELLA/FOY, c’est la rencontre de deux musiciens, la collision de deux univers, de deux sensibilités aussi différentes que complémentaires. Elle est ELLA (Hélène Fayolle, chant, guitare, ukulélé) lui FOY (Romain Deruette, contrebasse, guitare, percussions, chant). Ensemble, à la composition comme aux arrangements, ils forment un tout indissociable. A ce mélange volcanique, comme une évidence, s’ajoute le souffle sauvage de l’harmoniciste Bruno Tredjeu. Avec élégance, chaleur et grâce, mêlée de bourrasque d’énergie, le trio tricote ses mélodies autour d’une voix ensorcelante à travers de vastes steppes instrumentales. ELLA/FOY was born with the meeting of two musicians, when their universes collided, with their very different yet complementary sensibilities. She is ELLA (Hélène Fayolle, vocals, guitar, ukulele), he is FOY (Romain Deruette, double bass, guitar, percussions, vocals). Together, when they compose and arrange their music, they are an inseparable unit. Then, the harmonicist Bruno Tedjeu’s wild breath comes to blow on this volcanic combination.
